About Us: Treble That Transforms
Cadence is a treble chorus that brings together a diverse group of women, nonbinary individuals, and treble voices who are united by the joy of singing. Since 1994, our performances have inspired audiences, drawn awareness to historically marginalized communities, and showcased the power of voices raised together. Our concerts offer a safe and enjoyable environment for members of the LGBTQ+ community, feminists, human rights supporters, and all lovers of choral music.
Our Mission
Cadence brings together a diverse group of women, united by the joy of singing, to celebrate and empower women and to affirm a positive image of lesbians and feminists.
- Adopted in 1994 -
Vision
To help create a world where every voice is heard, valued, and celebrated.
A Legacy of Song & Spirit
Cadence began in 1993 when a single voice asked for a place to belong. Inspired by the Harrisburg Men’s Chorus, women came together to create their own space for music and community. One year later, the Central Pennsylvania Womyn’s Chorus debuted at Pride Festival and began a tradition of singing with strength, truth, and joy.

Into More History?

DEEP CONNECTIONS
Cadence is laughter in rehearsal breaks, friendships that last a lifetime, and the joy of coming together each week to make something beautiful. We celebrate each other's wins, lift one another up on hard days, and allow every individual a space to be fully who they are.
