Dr. Kyle Weary brings passion, artistry, and a deep love of choral music to Cadence. As our Artistic Director, he guides singers with warmth and expertise, helping us grow both musically and as a community. His background spans years of teaching, conducting, and inspiring singers of all ages from children to university students to seasoned performers.
Kyle is nationally recognized as a leader in music education, presenting at conferences across the country and publishing articles on vocal pedagogy and music literacy. He has been honored with nominations for the GRAMMY Music Educator Award, named Teacher of the Year in Washington County, and received Shenandoah Conservatory’s Distinguished Alumni Award for Young Career Achievement. His choirs have performed at state and regional conferences, at Carnegie Hall under the baton of Eric Whitacre, and alongside artists like Judy Collins.
Here in Central Pennsylvania, Kyle has directed ensembles at Boiling Springs High School, Yellow Breeches Middle School, and the Harrisburg Gay Men’s Chorus. He currently serves as Coordinator of Music Education and Visiting Assistant Professor at Gettysburg College, Artistic Director of the Gettysburg Children’s Choir, and Director of Music at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg.
At Cadence, Kyle’s vision is simple yet powerful: to create concerts that not only showcase musical excellence, but also celebrate joy, belonging, and the transformative power of voices raised together.
